Barbican View, Castle Retreat and Lionsgate View, each sleeping two, are holiday cottage apartments situated in an enviable location in the historic heart of Alnwick, directly opposite the barbican of Alnwick Castle, and just a short stroll from the town centre shops, restaurants and cafes.

Beaches of Northumberland
Northumberland Heritage Coast is famous for its clean, unspoilt beaches. Here are some of our favourites:
Alnmouth
This beach of golden sand lies on the north side of the picturesque village of Alnmouth. There are serious currents at the mouth of the river so it is advisable not to swim here.
Bamburgh Beach
A wide, beautiful beach located below Bamburgh Castle.
Beadnell Bay
A golden, sandy, horseshoe beach with sand dunes and a small harbour.
Embleton Bay
A good surfing beach in the shadow of Dunstanburgh Castle.
Sugar Sands
A quiet, secluded beach with beautiful white sand. Access to the beach is from the village of Longhoughton, through Low Steads Farm.
